Phuket's New Sports and Lifestyle Campus for All Hosted Inaugural Organic Arts and Eats Market
PHUKET, THAILAND – The first ever Thanyapura
Arts & Organic Farmer’s Market attracted more than one hundred healthy
living and art enthusiasts of all ages on Sunday, May 15th to the 23 hectare
landscaped grounds of Thanyapura in the verdant heart of Phuket island.
Successfully
setting the tone for this unique gathering which will be held regularly amidst
Thanyapura’s world class sporting facilities and exceptional leisure resources,
the must do destination for art lovers and organic foodies was held from 11:00
am until 4:00 pm under tented cover to keep shoppers comfortably shaded.
Live
music accompanied a diverse selection of colorful works by local and locally
based artists and artisans including The Love Art Studio, Cindy Shaw, Naturally
Balanced and Earth to Art handmade pottery. Thanyapura is particularly proud to
attract high quality organic products handcrafted by Phuket charities such as
Baan San-Fan orphanage’s heavenly scented coconut oil soap.
Activities
like KidzSole Walk on Water kept younger visitors entertained while adults
appreciated the opportunity to load up on Phuket’s freshest organic produce
including a kaleidoscopic selection of fresh picked items from Thanyapura’s own
organic farm, Thanyamundra near Khao Sok National Park.
The
festive and healthy gathering gave the Phuket community an all access
opportunity to experience the newly opened Thanyapura Sports & Leisure
Club, including free access to the 900 square metre Fitness Centre with
Technogym Cardio Zone, Power Plate & Power Zone, plus the Kids’ Club, and
six newly opened ‘Plexicushion’ tennis courts, four of which are covered for
all weather use. Membership information was available, with multiple tiered
options to accommodate diverse lifestyles.
Even as the day ended and visitors headed
home with their art finds and plenty of edibles, excitement begins to build for
the next Thanyapura Arts & Organic Farmer’s Market where more talents and
tastes will be on display.
